Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
Matthew 24:35
As much as, i would love to get all my old post back that i have lost, I know for the fact that cannot. And through this process of trying to get my data back, i couldn’t help but wonder about the Bible that we get to hold in our hands today.
How Did It Reach Us?
Have you ever stopped to think about how this message made it all the way to us, our generation? How did these words not get lost through time? Passed down faithfully through countless generations, preserved despite wars, wandering, and weakness, until it finally reached me and you.
We have the privilege of reading how God created the heavens and the earth in Genesis. We get to hear the song Moses sang as he led Israel, and the heartfelt worship of David in the Psalms. We read about God walking among His people, redeeming them, and ultimately laying down His life for us, the greatest price ever paid.
We read about the power of that sacrifice, the gifts and presence of the Holy Spirit, the forming of the Church, and the promise that we’re not alone. And then, ultimately we’re also invited into the future, our future, the eternity where all things are made new in Revelation.
It’s truly incredible. And when you realize how easily something so precious could be forgotten, how one generation’s negligence or one person’s forgetfulness could break the chain, you begin to understand the weight of what we hold in our hands.
But oh, wow—how great is our God, and how perfect are His plans!
It just shows how powerful our God is. Who am i kidding? He is the creator of this universe and creator of us. He made all that we see and all that we don’t see with our naked eyes. It is His story. His love story with His bride, us. And He would move heaven and earth, use anyone and anything, to preserve His Word and make sure it reaches us.
So grateful for this great God and the great gift of His Word that has been faithfully passed down through generations. His Word is not just ancient text; it is living, powerful, and life-changing. It has the power to transform hearts, to renew minds, and to rescue us from the depths of darkness. What a treasure we’ve been given.
